Flash player versions ?

ISS and its software team really surprises me

I don't really understand whats going on inside !!

 Internet explorer on a ISS machine has flash player 10,0,22,87 installed.

Firefox on a ISS machine has flash player  9,0,45,0 installed 

So all the web2 sites are now forcing me to use internet explorer because the flash player version in firefox is outdated. 

Is this another way to push the small loyal users of firefox towards IE especially on a ISS machine ??
